Our newspaper, Beijing, October 23rd (Reporter Ji Peijuan) The 2020 China-ASEAN Media Cooperation Forum will be held online on the 23rd.The forum is directed by the State Council Information Office of China,Hosted by China Foreign Languages Bureau and China-ASEAN Center,Nearly 60 press officials, media representatives, experts and scholars from China and the 10 ASEAN countries discussed and exchanged views on the theme of “Watching for each other, Win-Win Cooperation: Helping the Quality and Upgrade of China-ASEAN Strategic Partnership”.
Guo Weimin, deputy director of the Information Office of the State Council of China, said at the opening ceremony of the forum,In 2020, in the context of the epidemic,The media of China and ASEAN countries should take the initiative to act.Actively speak out, build consensus, and inspire people,Create a favorable public opinion environment for regional development and global economic recovery.to this end,He suggested that both parties should uphold the concept of a community of shared future.Promote the construction of a human health community; take digital economic cooperation as an opportunity,Promote economic and trade cooperation to a new level; strengthen media exchanges and cooperation,Consolidate the public opinion foundation for friendly cooperation.
Kang Fu, Deputy Secretary-General of the ASEAN Secretariat, said,Media exchanges and cooperation are an important part of China-ASEAN relations.The current situation requires both parties to explore new ways of cooperation such as digital economy and social media.Jointly respond to the challenges of the future.
Du Zhanyuan, director of the China Foreign Languages Bureau, pointed out in his speech:current,China and ASEAN countries are facing the dual tasks of epidemic prevention and control and economic development.The media on both sides have a lot to do in advancing the quality and efficiency of China-ASEAN relations.
Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN Center, put forward three suggestions: First, promote the theme of friendly cooperation,Focus on the two major themes of epidemic prevention and control and resumption of production; the second is to strengthen policy communication and mechanism construction,Continue to deepen the exchange of policies, regulations and development plans in the media field; third, expand the field of media cooperation,Actively respond to new media,In particular, the development trend of mobile communication is socialization, personalization, video and intelligence.
Malaysian Ambassador to China Nusirwan said,The economic ties between ASEAN countries and China will become closer.Both sides need to further strengthen cooperation in the fields of journalism, academics, and culture.
